Internal collaboration between Rijkswaterstaat in the Netherlands, the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the Environment Agency, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) in Japan, and others has resulted in a new manual called the International Handbook on Emergency Management for Flood Defences, which has some useful information that is also applicable to dams.
